Local Events For March 2020 In Sarasota and Manatee

Spring is in the air, perfect time to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather and the many events happening in the area this month!!

March 3, 2020: Movie in the Park Enjoy the 1986 Sci-Fi Film, Short Circuit, on Anna Maria Islands City Pier. Movie goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to sit on. Admission is free. Show starts at 6:30 p.m.

March 5, 2020: Tunes, Trucks, and Treasures at Phillippi Estate Park Every Thursday through March 26, Phillippi Estate Park will hold this free festival filled with food trucks, art and craft vendors, and live music. 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, with live music from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. March 6, 2020: Music on Main Enjoy a night full of fun including live music by This Whiskey Blind band, balloon twisters, face painting, good food and drinks at Music on Main in Lakewood Ranch. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short leash. 6 p.m.- 9 p.m.

March 7, 2020: Annual ArtSlam 2020 Celebrate the creative youth of Manatee County at the Annual ArtSlam at the Bradenton Farmer’s Market. Kids and adults will enjoy hands on arts and crafts, student performances, and more as art education is taken out of the classroom and onto the streets. March 7 – 8, 2020: Berry Fest Indulge in family fun at Fruitville Grove’s Berry Fest! This years festival will include craft booths, food vendors, an Easter egg hunt, and kids zone featuring bounce houses, rock wall, face painting, and more. March 8, 2020: 60th Annual Spring Open House at the Gamble Plantation Take a step back in time, as you tour the Mansion with live lifestyle demonstrations and costumes from the 1840’s – 1870’s. Guest will also enjoy live music and craft vendors. Admission is free. 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Gamble Plantation on U.S. 301 Ellenton, FL.

March 13, 2020: Music in the Park at Riverwalk in Bradenton Kick off a new season of Music in Park at Bradenton Riverwalk. Bring blankets, chairs, snacks, and your four-legged friend for a night of live music. Music in the park will continue every Friday night through April 24, 2020. March 13 – 15, 2020: 16th Annual Firestone Grand Prix Enjoy three days of racing and entertainment as the Grand Prix roars into St. Petersburg. This 1.8 mile, 14-turn course brings thousands to the area every year. Ticket prices vary. Downtown St. Petersburg, FL.

March 13 – 22, 2020: 84th Annual Sarasota County Fair Held at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds, this year’s fair will feature Midway rides, exhibits, craft vendors, delicious fair food, and more! Ticket prices vary. 3000 Ringling Blvd, Sarasota, FL.

March 14, 2020: Lucky Leprechaun 5k Race Kick off your St. Patty’s Day celebrations early with a 5k walk/run at Nathan Benderson Park. March 17, 2020: 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Bash Celebrate St. Patty’s Day all day long at Clancy’s with traditional Irish style food, bag pipes, authentic Irish music and Irish dance. March 28, 2020: Hometown Fest Featuring regional food, craft beers, live music, and fun activities for the whole family you won’t want to miss out on this festival. Enjoy free food samples from local restaurants, along with free 20 different craft beer samples.
