Local Events for September 2019 in Sarasota and Manatee

As summer comes to an end, make September a month to remember by getting out and enjoying the beautiful fall weather at some of these local events throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.

September 1, 2019: AquaPalooza 2019 aka “The largest party on the water”! This all-day water party for boaters’ features music, fun in the sun, free giveaways and more. The fest takes place at New Pass Sandbar, just in front of the MarineMax Marina. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

September 6, 2019: Music on Main in Lakewood Ranch. 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. Live music, beer, wine, kids rides and activities, as well as food vendors. The guitar driven rock sounds of Goodbye Eddie will keep you dancing all night!!  Lakewood Ranch is off University Parkway east of I-75.

September 7, 2019: $7-dollar Saturdays at Mote Aquarium! Florida residents may take advantage of $7 admission every Saturday through September 2019. Enjoy all Mote Aquarium has to offer! Florida residents of all ages, valid for up to 4 people in a party. Proof of Florida residency required for at least one in the party. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

September 11, 2019: “Pay Tribute to Heroes” Memorial Service. In remembrance of those lost on September 11, 2001, this memorial service was organized by the Manatee County Fire Chief’s Association. Starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Riverwalk in downtown Bradenton.

September 14, 2019: Family Funfest & Kickball for Charity Tournament. Bring the family and join the fun for this free festival event benefiting Feeding Empty Little Tummies of Manatee County. There will be Beach Vendors, Food, Bouncy Houses, Kona Ice, Ice Cream Truck, Face Painting, Music, Dunk Tank, Bradenton Police Department Armored Truck, Cedar Hammock Fire Truck and MORE! This festival is held at Palma Sola County Park, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

September 15, 2019: Sarasota Yoga Festival at Payne Park. The Yoga community will be coming back together to practice yoga with 14 awesome different styles, on a beautiful Sunday in the park, spreading health and wellness. Featuring 14, 30 minute classes with different yoga instructors, local healthy food vendors and trucks, yoga and health vendors, music, and MORE! 10am – 7pm

September 21, 2019: NextHome Excellence’s annual Free Fall Festival This completely free, kid-friendly event features carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, live music, a dunk tank, a pet adoption with the Humane Society of Sarasota County, and more. Located at the Florida Farm Bureau Pavilion off of Palmer Boulevard, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

September 28, 2019: Exotic Car Festival St. Armands Circle. The Exotic Car Festival Saint Armands is presented by the Ferrari Drivers Group Sarasota and benefits “Flight to the North Pole” a local charity by the Manatee Sheriff’s Office for terminally ill children. 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at St. Armands Circle

September 28, 2019: Blue + You Free Movie Night! The community is invited to this free event and are welcome to bring blankets and chairs and invite neighbors, family members and friends to watch a free move on the west lawn of the Sarasota Police Department. No coolers are allowed. “Blue + You” is an initiative that honors our community and connects them with the Sarasota Police Department. 5:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m.

September 29, 2019: Sarasota’s own Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Team Enjoy their first Sunday afternoon show of the new fall season at Ski-A-Ree Stadium. This free show is sure to entertain! Show starts at 2:00 p.m.
